Bowen Yang is lining up his first major project since departing Saturday Night Live, returning to the Olympic beat with a new season of his comedy podcast Two Guys, Five Rings.
Yang and his Las Culturistas co-host Matt Rogers will record a new 15-episode Winter Games edition of the show as part of NBC’s Milan Cortina Creator Collective, in partnership with iHeart Media. The duo previously hosted the podcast during the 2024 Summer Games in Paris, offering a comic, pop-culture-forward take on the Olympics.
The announcement comes just weeks after Yang was given an unusually sentimental sendoff from Saturday Night Live, with the final sketch of his last episode imagining the departing cast member as a Delta Sky Club employee on his final day at work, culminating with Yang performing a musical rendition of “Please Come Home for Christmas” alongside host Ariana Grande and musical guest Cher.
Yang joined SNL as a writer in 2018 before being promoted to the cast the following season, quickly emerging as one of the show’s breakout stars and earning four Emmy nominations beginning in 2021. In recent years, he’s balanced his work at SNL with a growing slate of high-profile film roles, becoming one of the rare cast members to maintain a steady foothold in both sketch comedy and mainstream pop culture.
NBC announced the return of Two Guys, Five Rings as part of a broader multi-platform social creator initiative tied to the 2026 Winter Games. The program will include more than 25 creators, offering behind-the-scenes access and first-person storytelling from Milan and Cortina—marking Yang’s first post-SNL project, and a continuation of his relationship with NBC beyond Studio 8H.
