Driver clocked going 190 km/h on Highway 407 in Clarington

OPP are announcing stunt driving charges against two drivers after separate incidents on highways in Clarington.
The first incident happened Friday.
A driver from Oshawa was clocked going nearly double the speed limit on Highway 407 in Clarington (pictured above).
Police say they caught the driver going 190 km/h in the westbound lanes near Darlington-Clarke Townline Road on Friday.
The 37-year-old received a 30-day licence suspension and had their vehicle impounded for 14 days.
OPP caught another stunt driver around 1:14 a.m Monday.
They stopped a driver going 189 km/h on Highway 401 westbound at Bennett Road in Bowmanville.
The 31-year-old driver also registered an “Alert” when they were breathalyzed.
Their licence was suspended for seven days and they also received a 30-day licence suspension.
The vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
