Aston Villa could now make a January swoop to sign Jarrod Bowen from West Ham.
Bowen has been linked to Villa in the past, but the Hammers skipper has never made the switch to Villa Park.
There was a time when Bowen could have been swapped with John Duran at West Ham as the East Londoners were strongly linked to the Colombian.
Duran stayed at Villa instead of joining West Ham, but the England international remained at the London Stadium, where major issues are clear for all to see.
Unai Emery and Co. could offer Bowen a route out of the Irons after transfer demands were made clear in this early stage of the winter window.

Bowen has caused problems for Villa over the years and has been a constant thorn in the Midlands outfit’s side ever since his first league start at Hull City.
The winger featured in a 1-1 draw at Villa Park, scoring to cancel out Gabby Agbonlahor’s strike in the opening Championship clash of the 2017-18 season.
He has gone on to score another five goals, while picking up one assist across 14 career appearances against the Villans.
That isn’t enough to put off the Holte End faithful, with many calling for their side to now sign Bowen, with West Ham looking destined for relegation.
One fan has called on Villa to “drop £40million” on the wide forward, while another added, “West Ham are going down. Bowen would be a big signing in January.

This feeling seems to be apparent throughout a large number of supporters in B6, with one demanding Emery’s men to “go big for Bowen in January.”
If the Hammers skipper was to make a Midlands switch, it would fulfil the dreams of a fan who has suggested he is one of their “ideal transfer targets for January”.

There would likely be widespread competition for his signature, but there is no doubt what the B6 faithful are hoping for this month.
Bowen to leave West Ham before relegation is confirmed
There are always star names who face relegation despite being labelled with the “too good to go down” tag.
Bowen would certainly be one of those, and that has sparked the Villa fanbase to call for his signing in the Midlands in large numbers.
One supporter wants the ex-Hereford youngster and a new defensive option, labelling that potential pair of signings as “the most essential” January additions.
