Roth broke his five-year onstage hiatus when he performed at M3 Rock Festival at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland on May 3, 2025.

The legendary singer’s set — which featured classic Van Halen hits including “Runnin’ with the Devil,” “Jamie’s Cryin’” and “Jump” — was followed up with a string of shows that concluded in September 2025, Blabbermouth reported.

While Van Halen has not toured since 2015, Diamond Dave’s previous full show was an opening gig for KISS on March 10, 2020.

Roth was the lead vocalist of Van Halen from 1974 to 1985, during 1996 and again from 2006 until the group’s disbandment in 2020. The singer was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Van Halen in 2007.

Roth has also had a successful solo career, releasing several gold and platinum-certified albums and earning four top 20 hits: “California Girls,” “Just Like Paradise,” “Just A Gigolo/I Ain’t Got Nobody” and “Yankee Rose.”
