Carol Vorderman has confirmed a series of special appearances across Channel 5’s entire daytime line-up. The broadcaster and brainbox will be taking over 5’s daytime schedule for a day of appearances from 9.15am-3.00pm tomorrow (Tuesday 17 March).

Starting the day on Jeremy Vine, Vorderman will then join Storm & Alexis, before moving on to Matt Allwright, and finally Vanessa.

Per a press release, the special event will see Vorderman take part in conversations tailored to each programme to showcase the “different tone, topics and audiences that make up 5’s daytime offering”.

The special appearances will serve as a celebration of Vorderman’s return to 5 as a team captain on the quiz show Celebrity Puzzling.

Hosted by Jeremy Vine, the show sees Sally Lindsay join Vorderman as a team captain as famous faces attempt to test their minds with a range of puzzles and brainteasers.

Throughout tomorrow’s schedule, Vorderman will be sharing her love of puzzles and giving viewers a taste of what they can expect from the new show.

Vorderman said: “I’m really looking forward to spending the day across 5’s daytime shows. It will be great to chat about everything from the issues of the day to real-life stories and consumer topics, and of course to share a bit about Celebrity Puzzling. I love a good puzzle, so I’m excited to give viewers a taste of what’s coming.”
