Tennessee edge rusher Jordan Ross to enter transfer portal, per reports

Tennessee edge rusher Jordan Ross plans to enter the transfer portal, according to numerous reports.
Ross, a former five-star recruit, was projected as UT’s starting edge rusher in the 2026 season after Joshua Josephs exhausted his eligibility and declared for the NFL Draft.
The Vols are now without their three best edge rushers from the 2025 season because Caleb Herring also entered the portal.
Ross had 23 tackles, 3.5 tackles-for-loss, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and fumble recovery in 11 games despite playing through injuries late in the 2025 season. He earned SEC All-Freshman honors in 2024.
Ross is a 6-foot-5, 245-pounder from Vestavia Hills, Alabama. He was a five-star recruit and ranked the No. 3 edge rusher in the 2024 class by 247Sports Composite.
Ross has two seasons of eligibility remaining. He is expected to be among the most coveted edge rushers in the portal.
