Federal law enforcement involved in shooting in Minneapolis

There is a large law enforcement presence near Portland Avenue and 34th Street after federal agents shot a civilian, Minneapolis and state officials said. The woman’s condition is unknown at this time.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS reporters on the scene saw an area blocked off with a large number of ICE agents at the intersection.
Several city officials and MPD officers were seen at the scene.
City Council Vice President Jamal Osman told KSTP that a civilian woman was shot while inside a vehicle, and Governor Tim Walz said his team is being briefed on the situation.

My public safety team is working to gather information on an ICE related shooting this morning.

Both city officials and police are trying to clear the scene.
CHOPPER 5 captured law enforcement spraying civilians with a chemical irritant.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office has stated it wasn’t involved in the incident but is sending deputies to assist investigators as needed.
