Two people were stabbed a TTC subway station on Wednesday, police say, and officers are searching for a suspect.

The stabbing happened at Dufferin Station, at the corner of Dufferin Street and Bloor Street W. Toronto police said they received reports of two people stabbed at the station at about 4:45 p.m.

Toronto paramedics said they were called to two separate scenes in the station.

Paramedics took both victims to hospital. One person has serious but non-life threatening injuries, while the other has minor injuries, paramedics said.

Police provided a “possible” description of the suspect as male, white, short, with blonde hair, wearing an orange construction jacket and a black hat.

The TTC said subway trains are not stopping at Dufferin station due to the security incident.

Buses are running on Bloor between Lansdowne and Ossington to accommodate customers.
