The Traitors contestant Matthew Hyndman’s life was turned upside down six years ago, when he sent an accidental email to 100 members of his Londonderry church congregation about his sexuality.

Until then, Matthew (35), says he had “lied” to his church, and would go on to experience “two years of silence” from his family in the aftermath, in which he says “nothing” else remained of his “old life” in Northern Ireland.
