Carson Beck sends two-word message after Georgia’s CFP elimination

Miami Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck has enjoyed a lot of success in his sixth and final year of college football. Beck and Miami were the last at-large team to make the College Football Playoff. The No. 10 seed Hurricanes have made the most of their playoff run.

Miami has a low-scoring road playoff first-round win over Texas A&M and a win over national championship favorite Ohio State. Now, the Hurricanes are preparing to face the No. 6 seed Ole Miss Rebels in the Fiesta Bowl (7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, Jan. 8) with the winner advancing to the national championship.

Coincidentally, Beck’s former team, the Georgia Bulldogs, just fell to Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl. If Georgia beat Ole Miss, then the Bulldogs would have played in a highly anticipated game against Beck. However, Georgia did not fulfill its side of the bargain and it sitting at home.

Following the Bulldogs’ Sugar Bowl loss, Carson Beck posted to social media. “Poetic justice,” Beck said in the caption. He included photos from Miami’s Cotton Bowl win over Ohio State. It is unclear if Beck was taking a shot at Georgia since he made a similar post after Miami’s win over Texas A&M. However, there’s no doubt Beck has to be feeling some poetic justice after advancing further in the playoff than his former team and its rabid fan base, which included many fans that did not like his decision to transfer.
