Stapleton is bringing his “All-American Road Show” to Providence Park on Friday, July 17.
Tickets will go on sale next Friday, January 16 at 10 a.m., and Citi Card members will have access to a special presale starting Tuesday, January 13 at 10 a.m. Timbers Annual Members will have a presale on Thursday, January 15 at 10 a.m.
Grace Potter will be the opening act. Full details on the tour are available on Chris Stapleton’s website.
This marks the third year back for concerts at Providence Park, after a decades-long drought of live music at the venue.
Last year, Post Malone and Jelly Roll brought their stadium tour to the Rose City.

KATU talked with some concertgoers who said the performance was overshadowed by delays at the entry gates, which left many fans frustrated.

Hans Isaacson, a concertgoer from Spokane, described the experience as chaotic and critiqued what he called inadequate security measures.
“We had floor seating which had our entry at gate G. At that point, the line was all the way at the top of the hill and turning the corner,” he said about arriving 15 minutes before the gates were set to open. “The park had 2 metal detectors for this gate. The number of security screeners assigned to this gate would have needed 8 additional detectors with the staff to support it.”
Last year, Portland Police, Transit Police, the city’s Bureau of Transportation, and TriMet all partnered with the venue to help with the event.
