Tottenham may finally get Yves Bissouma off their books in the January transfer window.
Bissouma has not featured for Spurs under Thomas Frank, and with just six months left on his contract, he may never play for the club again.
He was dropped by the new Tottenham boss for the UEFA Super Cup clash with Paris Saint-Germain, after turning up late for training, and he has not recovered from that.
Bissouma suffered an injury on international duty, and was then caught inhaling nitrous oxide again after Tottenham suspended him for the same thing last season.
Now, events nearly 2,000 miles away may have a bearing on his future in North London.

Why AFCON could be key to Bissouma’s Tottenham exit
John Wenham revealed that Spurs have been trying to sell Bissouma, but have had no luck shifting him so far.
He hopes that a good Africa Cup of Nations performance may put the Malian in the shop window in the final stages of the window.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “One player that they can’t sell, at the moment, because he is at AFCON, is Yves Bissouma,
“They were desperately trying to sell him in the summer to the Turkish league.
“Hopefully, if he continues to play well at AFCON, because I understand he’s been featuring for his country, someone will buy him at the end of that.”
How has Bissouma performed at AFCON?
The Lilywhites outcast was not in the squad for Mali’s first game of the tournament, a 1-1 draw with Zambia, due to injury.
He then started the second game against Morocco, another 1-1 draw, where Bissouma featured for 57 minutes.
The Spurs wantaway then played 63 minutes of the 0-0 draw with Comoros, which saw his nation qualify for the knockouts.
Tunisia were the next opponents, and Bissouma started and missed a penalty in the shootout, which ultimately saw Mali go through to the quarter-finals.
He will likely be in action for the Eagles when they face Senegal in that round on 8 January, and supporters can watch on E4 or the Channel 4 app if they want a glimpse of the lesser-seen midfielder.
