Oldham Athletic, Chesterfield, Salford City and Accrington Stanley matches frozen off

Saturday’s scheduled League Two matches at Oldham Athletic, Chesterfield and Accrington Stanley have been postponed while Salford City’s FA Cup tie at home to Swindon Town has also succumbed to freezing conditions.
Thursday pitch inspections at Boundary Park and SMH Group Stadium found the playing surfaces frozen, while a pitch inspection at Stanley on Friday also led to their fixture being postponed.
The Latics had been due to face Notts County, the seventh-placed Spireites were set to welcome ninth-placed Colchester while Accrington were due to welcome Barnet.
Meanwhile, despite sheets and heat lamps being used at Salford’s Peninsula Stadium, their third round tie against the Robins on Saturday will now take place on Tuesday, 20 January (19:45 GMT).
The Ammies’ League Two meeting with Grimsby Town will now have to be rearranged having been due to take place that evening.
Chesterfield were one of just four teams in League Two whose game was not postponed on Sunday. It is a second successive postponement for Oldham, the Magpies and the U’s.
New dates for the rearranged League Two fixtures will be announced in due course.
