Earthy returns on loan

George Earthy has signed on loan from West Ham United until the end of season.
The 21-year-old made 40 appearances in all competitions for City during the 2024/25 campaign, scoring three goals, including a memorable double against Middlesbrough.
The attacking midfielder returns eight months after being voted the Robins’ Young Player of the Season, having featured for both West Ham’s Under-21s and the senior side this campaign.
On returning to Ashton Gate, Earthy said: “The place feels like home and so I am really happy to be back.
“I am really looking forward to seeing the fans again. I have always been thinking about [my chant] since I left.
“They were so good to me, it is special to be back, and I cannot wait to get back in front of them again.”
Having met with Head Coach Gerhard Struber, Earthy expressed his excitement to play under him.
He added: “The way the gaffer has implemented his style of play into the club is something I feel I can fit in to really well.”
Earthy has made four Premier League appearances for the Hammers.
On his new recruit, Struber added: “He is a very interesting player and did very well here last year.
“We are very happy to add a player of his quality to the squad”
The club can confirm that Earthy will wear the number 44 shirt.
