Watch out Samsung and LG, Sky just made its smart TVs way more affordable

Samsung and LG might have just shown off big TV upgrades at the CES showcase in Las Vegas, but Sky is fighting back with a very eye-catching offer. The UK firm has just announced a surprise winter sale event, which is offering some big money off its smart Glass TVs. In fact, there’s now up to 25 per cent off, which means customers can save up to £300 if they buy the Glass TV in full rather than opting for a monthly payment plan.
These deals are available on both the cheaper Sky Glass Air models and more premium Glass Gen 2 screens with in-built soundbar. For those not aware, Sky Glass is the latest innovation from Sky that ditches the dish and uses a broadband connection instead.
This makes things far easier to set up, with users simply plugging in the TV and typing in their Wi-Fi passcode.
Live and on-demand channels are then beamed to the big screen via the internet rather than a signal beamed over the air.
Other bonus features of Sky Glass include easy access to all the most popular streaming services, along with personalised recommendations, voice search and a Playlists function which stores shows and movies to then watch at a later date.
If any of that sounds enticing, then you’ll find some of the best Sky Glass deals below.

As a quick guide, Sky Glass Air is Sky’s entry-level TV. It still features a 4K display and full access to all the best features but it can’t match the more premium upgrades found on Sky Glass Gen 2.
That television gets an improved Quantum Dot panel with bright and richer blacks along with an impressive Dolby Atmos soundbar – that packs seven speakers – which sits underneath the screen.
