Is ‘SNL’ new tonight? See the ‘Saturday Night Live’ season 51 schedule

It’s a brand new year, and new “Saturday Night Live” episodes are on the way.

There won’t be a new episode of “SNL” on Saturday, Jan. 10. Season 51 of the sketch comedy show returns with a new episode on Saturday, Jan. 17. “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard, who played Mike Wheeler on the Netflix series, will make his hosting debut during the episode. The musical guest, rapper A$AP Rocky, will also make his “SNL” debut.

“SNL” has been on a midseason hiatus since Ariana Grande hosted the Dec. 21 Christmas episode with musical guest Cher. After Wolfhard kicks off SNL’s 2026 shows, Teyana Taylor will host the Jan. 24 episode with musical guest Geese.

Taylor recently starred in the Paul Thomas Anderson film “One Battle After Another” and the Hulu legal drama “All’s Fair.“ Both Taylor and Geese, a rock band fronted by Cameron Winter, will make their ”SNL” debuts during the episode.

Alexander Skarsgård is set to host the Jan. 31 episode of “SNL” with musical guest Cardi B. Known for television shows including “True Blood,” “Big Little Lies” and “Succession,” Skarsgård currently stars in the new Apple TV series “Murderbot.”

While Skarsgård is another first-time “SNL” host, Cardi B previously served as musical guest in 2018. Her second studio album, “Am I the Drama?,” dropped in September 2025.
