With the 49ers’ 23-19 win over the Eagles on Sunday, the No. 5 seed Rams are headed to Chicago to take on the No. 2 seed Bears at Soldier Field in next weekend’s divisional round of the playoffs.
The winner of Rams-Bears will get the winner of Seahawks-49ers in the NFC Championship.
The two teams last met in Week 4 of the 2023 regular season, a 24-18 Bears win at Soldier Field. While it’s the 98th overall meeting in series history across the regular season and playoffs, it’s only the third-ever postseason meeting between the two teams.
The Bears advanced to the divisional round via a thrilling 31-27 win over the Packers on a game-winning touchdown pass from quarterback Caleb Williams to wide receiver D.J. Moore with just under two minutes to play. Chicago finished the regular season 11-6 to capture the NFC North title under first-year head coach Ben Johnson, which also gave the franchise its first playoff appearance since 2020.
