FLOWOOD, Miss. (WLBT) – The Flowood Police Department is investigating after a road rage shooting at a Chick-fil-A Saturday night.
The incident occurred at the Chick-fil-A on Lakeland Drive near Treetops Boulevard.
According to FPD Chief Eric Zetterholm, the victim pulled into the Chick-fil-A and was shot in the foot.
However, Zetterholm added, the victim was not injured since the round did not make it past the victim’s steel-toed boot.
A suspect in connection with the shooting has been arrested.
The suspect has been identified as 39-year-old Kyle Maurice Ramos of Jackson, Mississippi.
Ramos currently faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
The suspect is now being housed at the Rankin County Jail without bond while waiting for an initial appearance in Flowood Municipal Court.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
