Who is Michael McKee, ex-husband of Monique Tepe charged in her death?

The ex-husband of Monique Tepe has been charged with two counts of murder in connection with her death and that of her husband, Spencer Tepe.
Michael David McKee, 39, of Chicago, is being held by the Winnebago County (Illinois) Sheriff’s Office. Franklin County Municipal Court records show Columbus police filed an arrest warrant Jan. 10 for McKee, and he was booked into Winnebago County’s corrections facility shortly before noon local time the same day.
McKee is scheduled for a hearing on Jan. 12, likely an extradition hearing, to start the process of his return to Ohio to face charges.
Monique, 39, and Spencer, 37, died on Dec. 30 after being found shot inside their home on the 1400 block of North 4th Street in the Weinland Park home. The couple died less than three weeks after their fifth wedding anniversary and shared two young children, both of whom were found physically unharmed inside the Tepes’ home.
Here’s what we know about McKee.
How did Columbus police identify Michael McKee as a suspect?
According to court documents, Columbus detectives identified a vehicle that had been in the area of the Tepe home shortly before the couple is believed to have been killed and leaving shortly after. Court records say detectives tracked that vehicle down, locating it in Rockford, Illinois, and identified that McKee owned the vehicle.
On Jan. 5, police released security camera footage from an alley near the Tepe home showing a person walking during the 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. window on Dec. 30, during which detectives believed the Tepes were killed.
There did not appear to be any signs of forced entry and no obvious signs of a robbery, according to information provided publicly by authorities.
