This Backstreet Boy already lives in Las Vegas ahead of Sphere shows
The Backstreet Boys chat with USA TODAY’s Ralphie Aversa about relocating to Las Vegas for the band’s residency at the Sphere.
Mary J. Blige is lighting up the Sin City strip.
The Grammy-winning R&B singer, 55, announced Jan. 12 that she would kick off her inaugural Las Vegas residency in spring 2026. With 10 dates scheduled (so far), the Mary J. Blige: My Life, My Story The Las Vegas Residency show will kick off at Park MGM May 1.
“I’ve been so excited to announce this Vegas residency,” Blige said in a release alongside the announcement. “Creating a show like this has been something I’ve always wanted to do. It’s a chance to get my fans together from all over – different cities, states, and countries – to experience something together. My Life, My Story will be just that – with some surprises for my fans that have been there through it all. See you in May!”
Joining the ranks of stars like Jennifer Lopez and the Backstreet Boys, and before them Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, Blige’s talent feels made for a Las Vegas residency. Her big and brassy vocals, and tendency for fashion-forward flair meet the bar of spectacle required of a show along the strip.
The announcement comes just over a year after the release of her 2024 project “Gratitude,” her 15th studio album.

Citi® / AAdvantage® cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. PT, 1 p.m. ET through Citi Entertainment. An artist presale will begin Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.
Members of MGM Rewards, MGM Resorts’ loyalty rewards program, as well as Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers, will receive access to a presale beginning Thursday, Jan. 15 at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. All presales are set to end Thursday, Jan. 15 at 1 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT.
General onsale will begin Friday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on ticketmaster.com.
