Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign a 28-year-old midfielder who has bags of Premier League experience.
As you will know, Chelsea’s ethos in recruitment is youth-led. But we are assured by those at the club, this is only youth-led and not youth-only.
If there is a deal that makes sense to them financially, and the player is of quality and will add something to our squad, then there are no rules about what age said player is, and they will sign an ‘older’ head if they think it will add value, improve what they have, and make sense financially. There are many variables there, of course.
