Park Ridge news: Pedestrian hit by vehicle, killed at Cumberland and Peterson ID’d as Katherine Baransky, police department says

PARK RIDGE, Ill. (WLS) — A pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in the north suburbs on Saturday morning has been identified, police said.
Park Ridge police said the crash happened at Cumberland and Peterson around 6:30 a.m.

A vehicle hit a pedestrian, identified as 65-year-old Park Ridge resident Katherine Baransky, police said.
Baransky was transported to Lutheran General Hospital, where she died.
The Park Ridge Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is conducting the investigation.
No charges or citations have been issued, but the investigation is ongoing, police said.
