Daniel Stern charged with soliciting prostitute in California

Actor Daniel Stern is expected to be arraigned Tuesday on a charge of soliciting a prostitute. The “Home Alone” star was cited in December after allegedly attempting to hire an escort, according to TMZ.

The Ventura County District Attorney received the case Friday for review, and quickly decided to bring criminal charges against Stern, TMZ reports. The incident took place on Dec. 10 at a hotel in Camarillo, California.

Stern, 68, is not expected to appear in court Tuesday, but his attorney will likely appear on his behalf.

Stern is known for his role as Marv in the first two “Home Alone” films. He also starred in the 1990s hit comedy films “City Slickers” and “Rookie of the Year.” He was also the narrator/adult voice for the character Kevin Arnold on the hit TV series “The Wonder Years.”
