The New England Patriots are beginning their preparations for their upcoming divisional round matchup against the Houston Texans. Across the league, though, there’s been quite a bit of chaos caused by a wild head coaching carousel.
One of the more surprising moves saw the Baltimore Ravens fire their longtime head coach, John Harbaugh. Now that he’s gone, the Ravens have to work on identifying a new coach to come in and lead their team.

Baltimore is unsurprisingly casting a wide net in its search, but one guy who has quickly emerged as a frontrunner is Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, who formerly spent time with the New England Patriots. On Tuesday, the Ravens announced that they had officially interviewed Flores for their head coach opening.
“We have completed an interview with Brian Flores for our head coach position,” the Ravens announced in a post on X.
Flores initially got his start in the NFL with the Pats, as he spent 11 seasons working as a member of Bill Belichick’s coaching staff. After a failed stint as the Miami Dolphins head coach, Flores spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers before latching on with the Vikings as their defensive coordinator.

It’s still very early in the hiring process, but Flores has a lot of momentum working in his favor when it comes to his quest to land his second head coaching gig. The Ravens appear quite interested in him, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if that ends up being where the defensive mastermind ends up landing this offseason.
