5 things to know about Tiger Woods’ TGR Foundation celebration

There’s a big get-together set for Wednesday, Jan. 14, for Tiger Woods, and the night will serve as a great chance to celebrate the philanthropic efforts of the TGR Foundation.
Here’s the key things to know about the get-together.
What is the Tiger Woods event called?
There’s a title sponsor for this party, dubbed “RED: Celebrating Legacy presented by EY US.” Red is, of course, the color Tiger always wears for Sunday final rounds.
What celebrities are on the invite list?
Among the VIPs on the invite list who were asked to wear “a touch of (Tiger) red:” major winner Justin Thomas, caddie Joe LaCava, NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan and Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Drive owner Arthur Blank, who also is a member of the Strategic Sports Group that has poured $1.5 billion in the PGA Tour.
Tiger Woods (L) and recording artist Jon Bon Jovi appear at Tiger Jam 2012 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Musician Jon Bon Jovi will perform at the party.
Where is the event?
Woods will host about 300 guests at The Breakers Palm Beach in Florida.
“We definitely could have made it bigger,” TGR Foundation CEO Cyndi Court told Front Office Sports. “But we also wanted it to be intimate so that we could celebrate people that throughout the years have made tremendous commitments to Tiger’s vision of what could be possible in the future.”
What’s on the menu?
Food will be themed off of the Champions Dinner menu served in the past by the five-time Masters champ. Those meals have featured steak and chicken fajitas, stuffed jalapenos, sushi (including an “Augusta roll”), porterhouse steaks, crab cakes, and even cheeseburgers, French fries and milkshakes.
Where do the proceeds go?
Proceeds will directly support the Foundation’s next major chapter: a fundraising goal of $50 million that will support the expansion of TGR Learning Labs to new communities. There are currently two locations in Anaheim, California, and Philadelphia, with two more planned in Augusta, Georgia, and Los Angeles.
“There might be another market that we might announce that night,” Court hinted. This expansion will enable thousands of students from under-resourced communities each year to “access immersive learning experiences that ignite curiosity, build essential skills and unlock each student’s unlimited potential.” TGR Foundation announced that Ernst & Young LLP (EY US), a global professional services firm, will serve as the official presenting partner of the birthday bash and its 30th anniversary year-long campaign in 2026.
“It’s a lot more than a birthday party, and it’s a lot more than an event,” Court tells Front Office Sports. “It’s an event that’s culminating a year of work, and then launching a year of hard work going forward, and what we’re going to do as we expand and grow.”
