Our favorite photos from media days at the Detroit Auto Show

DETROIT – Members of the media were offered a sneak preview of the Detroit Auto Show on Wednesday and Thursday, including new vehicle models, tech demonstrations and more.

New for this year were the Ford Bronco RTR, updated concept cars from Cadillac and Chevrolet, and the debut of Formula One cars tied to U.S. manufacturers Ford and General Motors.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg were keynote speakers at the event. Both were critical of comments made and policies celebrated by President Donald Trump at the Detroit Economic Club on the eve of the show.

Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson visited several automakers’ booths Wednesday before stopping by the Subaru Loves Pets adoption event and taking home a 2-month old puppy. The U.S. Army stole the show downstairs with their prototype M1E3 tank.

MLive photographer Jacob Hamilton was there for all the action, from adorable puppies to futuristic concept cars and even a prototype tank.
