But what the Austrian has confirmed is he will end his two years in South London at the end of the season.
Glasner said: “I had a meeting in October with Steve Parish. We had dinner and a long talk. I told him I will not sign a new contract for Crystal Palace.
“We agreed it was best to keep it between us, confidentially, and we did for three months. I told the team today. It’s now important to have clarity.
“I don’t want to have this question. We had a very busy schedule. We want the same, me and Steve.

“Steve has no ego. Oliver Glasner has no ego, we want is best for Palace.
“It’s important to have clarity, this is what the players deserve, this is what fans deserve, that’s why I tell it today.”
Glasner arrived at Palace on the back of two years in Germany with Eintracht Frankfurt.
And he became a club hero by guiding the Eagles to the FA Cup last summer – the club’s first major trophy in 70 years.

But it was a total contrast in this year’s tournament, with Palace knocked out in the Third Round by non-league Macclesfield.
Glasner is among the frontrunners to take over at Manchester United next season following Ruben Amorim’s sacking.
Former United midfielder Michael Carrick has taken on the role as caretaker boss until the campaign concludes.
But Glasner is a contender to succeed Carrick on a temporary basis with the Old Trafford board preparing to make a summer appointment.
