Ligue 1 Predictions | Round 18: PSG host Lille, as Lens look to hold on to top spot

Ligue 1 Predictions, Round 18
GFFN editor-in-chief Luke Entwistle, and sub-editors Raphaël Jucobin and Bastien Cheval face off in our Ligue 1 predictions competition. This season, GFFN will also be hosting guests. Earlier this season, The Athletic’s Alex Barker participated and became the first name on our guest leaderboard, and he has since been joined by Julien Laurens. It’s three points for a correct score, two points for a correct score difference, and one point for a correct result. Who will come out on top at the end of the season?

Game of the week: Paris Saint-Germain v Lille OSC, Friday 20:00 (UK)
PSG don’t exactly head into this one in crisis, but a combination of their elimination from the Coupe de France earlier this week and their standing behind RC Lens in the league paints the picture of a club not quite in full flow. It has felt that way for much of the season, in truth, and understandably so given their truncated pre-season. Against Paris FC on Monday, PSG clearly deserved to win, but they aren’t at their most clinical of late and that will have to change if they are to have another barnstorming end to the season, as was the case in 2025.

Without Joao Neves and Achraf Hakimi most notably, Luis Enrique’s side host a Lille OSC side that are also not at their peak, as they showed during last weekend’s loss to Olympique Lyonnais. In fact, LOSC are yet to win in 2026, having also lost to Stade Rennais. They will be without captain Benjamin André for this encounter, a significant blow that could certainly have a bearing on the final result.
