VILLANOVA, Pa. – A transformative new space for the Wildcat lacrosse programs is officially open for use as the Villanova Lacrosse Cinema was unveiled on Friday.

The Gary M. and Patricia B. Holloway Family Foundation served as the lead donor for the renovation, which is completely donor funded with additional philanthropy from parents and alumni of the men’s and women’s lacrosse programs.

The space is located on the second floor of the Villanova Stadium press box, which will now serve as a meeting space for both the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams.

“The new film cinema is an investment in our student-athletes and their growth on and off the field,” women’s lacrosse head coach Jill Batcheller said. “It gives us the tools to teach, learn and prepare at the highest level, and it reflects the belief our supporters have in our program’s future. We are so grateful!”

The area consists of a 50-seat cinema with a large-screen television for video analysis and review. The space also includes a conference room for team meetings in addition to a lounge area for hosting families and recruits.

“I would like to thank the Friends of Villanova Lacrosse for their support of this project,” men’s lacrosse head coach Mike Corrado said. “This new space will allow our team a state-of-the-art team film room and a second meeting space for individual film and review as well as a lounge to meet with alumni and recruits.”

Both teams now gear up for the opening competitions of the 2026 campaign in the first weekend of February, with the men starting off at Penn State on Feb. 7 while the women host Towson the following day at Villanova Stadium.
