‘Euphoria’ Trailer Rakes In Record-Setting 100M Views In 2 Days

Even after a four-year hiatus, Euphoria‘s third season appears to be highly anticipated.
Per Warner Bros. Discovery, the Season 3 trailer was viewed nearly 100M times in the first 48 hours, which the company says is the largest original series trailer launch in HBO Max history during that timeframe.
It’s not clear which series previously held this record. HBO has touted the success of a few high-profile series trailers in the past, but not in the 48-hour timeframe. Last year, The Last of Us Season 2 delivered a record-setting trailer with 158M global cross-platform views in three days. In 2019, the network said the trailer for the final season of Game of Thrones was historic with 81M views in 24 hours.
Euphoria exploded after its first season and has only grown in popularity as many of its main cast have become stars in their own right. HBO says it is now one of the most-watched series in the network’s entire history. The series left things on a high note in 2022 when the Season 2 finale drew a series record audience with 6.6M viewers across all HBO platforms. The season finale audience was up 30% from the previous week and surpassed the Season 1 finale in 2019, which earned 530,000 viewers.
Season 3 is likely to be the series’ last. Most of the major players are returning, including Zendaya’s Rue Bennett as well as Lexi Howard (Maude Apatow), Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie), Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney) and Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer).
There are also plenty of new cast members since the story will be set “a few years after high school,” as the first glimpse at Season 3 indicated. Creator Sam Levinson has said that Season 3 is about each of the characters navigating “being out of the safety net of school” and the trials that come along with it.
The new season debuts April 12 at 9 p.m. on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
