Raptors’ Immanuel Quickley out Friday vs. Clippers

Immanuel Quickley won’t play against the Los Angeles Clippers due to back spasms, according to Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy. This will be Quickley’s second consecutive missed game after being sidelined for Wednesday’s win over the Indiana Pacers.

He joins fellow starters RJ Barrett and Jakob Poeltl on the bench. Barrett has already missed Toronto’s last three games after twisting his ankle in a loss to the Boston Celtics last week.

Poeltl is set to miss a 13th consecutive contest due to his lingering back problems and has yet to suit up since a six-minute stint back on Dec. 21. There is no update on Poeltl’s status.

“We’re just trying to find the best way to get him back on the court,” head coach Darko Rajakovic said, per Murphy.

Ja’Kobe Walter (hip) and Chucky Hepburn (two-way) have also been ruled out against the Clippers.

Meanwhile, Sandro Mamukelashvili (illness) and Garrett Temple (back spasms) will return on Friday.

The 25-17 Raptors sit fourth in the Eastern Conference.
