HGTV’s Leslie Davis Reveals Timeline of Divorce After ‘Surprise’ Engagement Announcement

HGTV fans were left in shock after Leslie Davis announced her engagement to Rock the Block costar Don Reidy. Now, the Unsellable Houses star has finally revealed the timeline of her divorce from first husband, Jacob Davis.
“Okay…Okay… I know what you are all saying… ‘I didn’t even know you were divorced?'” Davis teased in a Friday, January 16, blog post. “Well, 1,000+ social media comments later, you all have a lot of questions.”
She continued, “I have chosen to keep this part of my personal life private, a hard thing to do as someone with a show on HGTV. You may know my ex-husband, Jacob, my kids’ rockstar of a dad, from previous seasons of Unsellable Houses; however, he has typically chosen to stay out of the public eye.”
Davis went on to reveal that she and Jacob divorced in 2022, calling it a “very tough but right decision” for their family.
“Jacob and I will always share love for each other, just now in a new way, we have learned to become the best teammates, to lean on each other, to support each other’s new adventures, and always put our boys first,” Davis continued. “With lots of changes, our priority was to always protect our family, which is why I have kept this part of my life private. And seriously, who even announces a divorce anyway LOL!”
The HGTV favorite met Reidy while filming season 5 of Rock the Block with her twin sister, Lynday Lamb. Reidy was their team’s designated carpenter throughout the six weeks of filming.
“Through the stressful days, endless hours, and lots of laughs in between, we became best friends and continued to stay in touch post-filming,” she shared on Friday. “Don was living in Colorado and working on other HGTV favorites, while I was wrapping up filming Unsellable Houses season 5 here in Snohomish, but we made an effort to keep our friendship growing.”
Reidy ultimately relocated to Washington a year into their relationship and popped the question over the holidays. The couple shared the exciting engagement news via Instagram on Wednesday, January 14.
