Finn Wolfhard and ‘Stranger Things’ Pals Are All Grown Up

The Netflix show stars are now former child actors—even if they still don’t have a taste for alcohol

Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard wants everyone to know that he’s a former child actor—even if he did spit out an alcoholic drink for being too “spicy.”

The Saturday Night Live host, 23, commented on how he was just 12 when the first episode of the Netflix show aired.

“It feels so amazing that 400 million people got to watch me go through puberty,” he joked. “What a dream.”

“My voice changed on camera, my first kiss was on camera, and—I can’t actually believe I’m admitting this—but the first time I learned what a woman looks like down there was on camera as well,” he said, introducing a clip of one of the show’s monsters.

Wolfhard said he’s proud to now be able to call himself a man with facial hair (one), and a taste for alcohol (unconsumed).

When given a glass by Marcello Hernandez, Wolfhard spits the contents in his face, exclaiming, “Too spicy!”

“So yeah, meet the new me. The man me. Because I’m not a kid anymore,” Wolfhard says, as co-stars Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin join in to say that they aren’t, either.

“We aren’t child stars. We’re former child stars,” McLaughlin says, as Matarazzo adds: “And anytime you read ‘former child star’ in a headline, it can only mean good things.”

The three then had a toast with the same alcohol—but none appeared to take it well.
