Katy Perry’s appearance at Joy Awards earns her fortune
Katy Perry, who was present at an event in Saudi Arabia for the first time, has reportedly earned a fortune for opening it.
The 41-year-old attended the star-studded show, Joy Awards, which was held at the ANB Arena on January 17, 2026.
The American singer licked off the sixth edition of the ceremony with a bang, as she performed her most famous fan-favourite songs, Roar, Dark Horse, and Firework.
It has been revealed that the songwriter was allegedly paid $10 million for an approximately 30-minute gig that set the high-energy tone for the rest of the night.
Katy’s acts of the evening were also supported by numerous backup dancers and a ton of drones, showcasing fireworks and a animated tiger.
The girlfriend of the former Prime Minister of Canada also donned a dress that was designed by local Saudi designer, Waad Aloqaili, as she embraced the culture.
The Harleys In Hawaii hit maker was later also seen presenting the award for Best Arab Female Musician.
It is to be noted that the musician also expressed that she’d be back for a full tour in the future.
