Como’s Nico Paz tormented Lazio on the opening weekend of the Serie A season and he looks a nice price to score in Monday’s return fixture.
Paz’s sensational pass set up Tasos Douvikas for Como’s opener in August’s home game against Lazio and he wrapped up a 2-0 victory with a brilliant free-kick.
That was the first of a series of fine displays in Serie A from the 21-year-old Argentinian talent, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Paz has contributed six goals and six assists in 19 league starts for Cesc Fabregas’s side and he may well add to his goal tally at the Stadio Olimpico.
He manages to get into dangerous positions against the best teams in Italy, firing in four shots during November’s goalless draw away to Napoli and five in December’s 4-0 loss at Inter.
Paz was unfortunate to end up on the losing side against title contenders Milan on Thursday when he forced goalkeeper Mike Maignan into four saves and hit the crossbar with a great strike from distance.
Como have beaten Lecce and Pisa 3-0 in their last two away fixtures and their gifted young playmaker could help them complete a league double over mid-table Lazio.
