Here’s where snow will fall, including in the South, as storm stretches up the East

A winter storm on Sunday will bring snow to an unusually long, 1,500-mile stretch from Florida to Maine — including a rare coating for parts of the South.
Winter weather advisories extend as far south as the Florida Panhandle, where light snow is forecast to coat palm trees Sunday morning — for the second year in a row. Rare winter storm warnings are also in effect for central Georgia to the south of Atlanta, where several inches of heavy, wet snow are expected in and around Macon. Southeastern Alabama, where winter weather advisories are in effect, will also face snowy conditions early Sunday.
