The Official Trevor Slattery MCU Watch Guide

Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King (2014)

Trevor’s performance as the Mandarin upset many, but perhaps none more than the real Ten Rings organization and its leader, Wenwu. In the Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King, the British actor served a sentence at Seagate Prison, despite claiming he was framed and merely a paid performer playing a part. Believing he was answering questions for a documentary, Slattery conducted several interviews in jail with Jackson Norris.

While interrogated, Trevor revealed his love of acting began with his mother, who took him to the Royal Court Theatre in London in 1964, where he landed his first role in Shakespeare’s The Tempest. Slattery ultimately left England to pursue his dream of acting in the U.S. and was cast as an avenging Russian cop in the pilot, Caged Heat, which the network didn’t pick up—a big break that broke him. However, the interview took an unexpected turn when Trevor ended up taken captive by the real Ten Rings organization as retribution for using their name.
