Transfer Talk: Chelsea youngster close to Ipswich move

Ipswich Town have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Frankie Runham from Chelsea.
According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 18-year-old attack-minded midfielder will arrive at Portman Road on loan with a potential obligation to buy as part of the deal.
Having joined Chelsea’s development centre at the age of eight, Runham has risen through the Premier League club’s ranks.
Aged 15, Runham became the Blues’ youngest ever goalscorer in a UEFA Youth League fixture when he found the back of the net against Dinamo Zagreb.
Runham is also an age-group international with England, having represented the Three Lions at Under-15, Under-16 and Under-18 level.
Romano adds that should the move for Runham become permanent then Chelsea would retain a buy-back clause as part of the agreement.
If the deal were to come to fruition, the teenager would be Ipswich’s first signing of the January transfer window.
