Paul Pogba, the former France international and star midfielder known for his time at Manchester United and Juventus, is battling to revive his career at Monaco. Despite his ambitions to participate in this year’s World Cup, a series of injuries has stymied his progress.
The 32-year-old Pogba joined Monaco last summer, signing a two-year contract to reinvigorate his career, which has been disrupted by injuries and a doping ban. Pogba has been dealing with a left calf injury that has limited him to only 30 minutes of play since his debut for the club in November.
Monaco’s CEO, Thiago Scuro, acknowledged the challenges inherent in Pogba’s rehabilitation program and hinted at contractual clauses that could reduce his stay.
