Broncos sign WR Brandon Johnson to practice squad

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — A former Broncos wide receiver is returning to Denver’s roster.
Denver signed wide receiver Brandon Johnson to their practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.
The Broncos released center Michael Deiter from the practice squad in a corresponding move.
Johnson appeared in 20 games for the Broncos from 2022-23, recording 25 catches for 326 yards and five touchdowns with Denver. In Head Coach Sean Payton’s first season in Denver, Johnson caught 19 passes for 284 yards and four scores.
He last appeared in regular-season action for Pittsburgh in 2024, as he played in three games. Johnson spent time with the Buccaneers’ and Steelers’ practice squad in 2025, according to Pro Football Reference.
