$5k reward offered after 2 poodles abandoned in Colchester during cold weather

COLCHESTER, Conn. (WFSB) – A reward is being offered for information on the people responsible for abandoning two dogs in Colchester.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for abandoning two small black female poodles in Colchester.

One of the dogs, a black female poodle, was found in a snowbank near Clark Road on Monday morning, according to Desmond’s Army Animal Law Advocates.

The following day, another poodle was located near the Valero gas station in the Gillette Lane area.

The non-profit organization said both dogs are in dire condition, they are severely underweight and heavily matted, and one appears to have recently had a litter.

Both dogs are now safe and receiving the care they need.
