The fix is in… sort of

For the “Elevated errors on claude.ai” issue, Anthropic has been quiet (though it is working for me). However, the company posted a quick update on the “Claude Code Authentication Issues.” Here’s the latest:

“A fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results.”

We will also continue to monitor the results and will keep you posted if things improve or degrade in the near future.

Claude says Claude is okay

I went to Claude to check for myself if it was working and everything seemed fine. I even asked if it was experiencing an outage, to which is responded: “I’m not currently experiencing any outages – I’m working normally and able to respond to you right now!”

Based on the fact that was able to answer my query, it appears things are getting back to normal for the popular AI chatbot, but we’ll see how things progress as Anthropic continues to work on things.

Anthropic posted an update regarding Claude Code and its issues. Here’s what the status page says:

“We are currently investigating an issue affecting Claude Code authentication. Users may encounter errors when attempting to sign in or authenticate their Claude Code sessions,” reads the status page.

For the “Elevated errors on claude.ai” issue, no updates have been posted.

Dropping already

As quickly as the reports starting rolling in, they also started dropping. Currently sitting at around 2,200, reports peaked at just under 3,000. This is a sizable drop and could indicate that some subset of users are able to get access to the AI chatbot and its coding features.

Anthropic has updated its Claude status page, officially acknowledging that something is wrong. First, the company said, “Investigating – We are currently investigating this issue,” and a few minutes later, it said, “Update – We are continuing to investigate this issue.”
