An Upstate New York lottery player has won a $1 million top prize from the New York Lottery’s More Money scratch-off game.
Christian Simmons of Lake George purchased the winning ticket at a Walmart Supercenter in Queensbury. He elected to receive his winnings as a single lump sum payment of $441,999 after required withholdings.
The More Money game has exhausted all of its top-tier prizes, though valid lower-tier prizes remain claimable through Dec. 31, 2026.
During fiscal year 2024-2025, scratch-off games produced $4.3 billion in total sales. Warren County school districts received $10.5 million in lottery aid during that same period.
