No subway service on Line 1 between College and Osgoode

The TTC says subway service has resumed on Line 1 after a section of it was shut down due to an injury on the tracks.

Initially, the subway closure was between College and Osgoode stations but was later shortened from King to Osgoode. Subway service resumed around 10:30 a.m.

It is not yet known where the incident occurred.

During the closure, the TTC advised riders to utilize streetcar routes as an alternative for travel from the University side to the Yonge side of Line 1/Yonge-University.

The transit agency also said the 509 Harbourfront and 510 Spadina route was not servicing the streetcar platform at Union Station “due to injury at track level at Union Station.” Service has since resumed.

The Toronto police also posted on X, saying that northbound subway trains were stopped at Union station for a police investigation, which was deemed non-criminal in nature. The TTC said service has since resumed at Union.

It is not clear if the issues were related.
