These are all of Max Domi’s favourite Toronto restaurants

Toronto Maple Leafs player Max Domi just dished on his favourite Toronto restaurants, and he just so happens to share one of his top picks with a teammate.
What could be more exciting than running into your favourite athlete when you’re out for a meal? While it’s generally frowned upon to approach a celebrity while they’re in the middle of a meal (seriously, don’t do that), there’s still something dazzling about knowing you’re dining in the presence of greatness.
Or, in the case of the Toronto Maple Leafs, greatness marred by an exceptional ability to choke when it matters most. But I’m not bitter or anything.
Still, despite the heartbreak that Leafs fans have grown to accept as a chronic condition of existence, we love our players all the same, which is why Offside and Dished Toronto, our sports- and food-centric social media imprints, took it upon themselves to ask Max Domi where he opts to eat in the city.
Having grown up in Toronto while his father, Tie Domi, played for the Leafs through the late ’90s and early 2000s, it’s not unreasonable to expect Max would have a reasonably well-rounded understanding of the Toronto food scene — even if he only moved back to Toronto upon joining the Leafs in 2023.
Turns out, Max Domi’s top three Toronto restaurants just so happen to be shared with several other high-profile athletes and VIPs in the city.
Birds of a feather, I guess.
At the top of the list, Domi tells our reporter, is Bar Isabel, thanks to its proximity to his home and, no doubt, its extensive menu of Spanish pintxos, grilled seafood and killer cocktails — but only in the off-season, of course.
When in the mood for something a little meatier, “Harbour Sixty is probably my go-to steakhouse,” Domi says, giving props to the breathtaking renovation the restaurant completed nearly a year ago.
Yorkville’s Sotto Sotto rounds out Domi’s top three, with the player proclaiming you “can’t beat” it when it comes to Italian food in the city. It’s an opinion he evidently shares with teammate and captain Auston Matthews (and, not for nothing, Drake), who has also given the restaurant a shout-out in the past.
I guess we know where the postseason team dinner will take place. They’d better start stocking up on veal parm ASAP.
