MK Dons Women: Stephen Healy leaves head coach role for bigger club

“For the team to be undefeated for five games in a row is a stark improvement on last season, and we would like to thank Stephen for his efforts.

“The opportunity presented to him to manage at a higher level is ultimately a reflection on his fantastic work with MK Dons Women this season.”

MK Dons Women finished bottom of Women’s National League Southern Premier Division last season, managing a single point from 22 games, with a goal difference of minus 117.

“The team has seen such massive growth in such a short space of time, and it’s only on an upwards trajectory, so I’m really excited for the football club and where it’s going,” Healy said.

“I’m leaving with a heavy heart, because I’ve made some wonderful connections here, and will miss them all greatly.”
