Broncos’ Dobbins ruled out for AFC championship vs. Patriots

The Denver Broncos ruled out running back J.K. Dobbins ahead of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots.

Denver opened Dobbins’ 21-day practice window on Monday. The veteran tailback has been sidelined with a foot injury since Week 10 and was placed on injured reserve in mid-November.

Dobbins was a limited participant in all three practices this week.

The Ohio State product has rushed for 772 yards and four touchdowns while averaging five yards per carry during the 2025 campaign.

With Dobbins out, the Broncos will likely lean on a running back depth chart featuring rookie RJ Harvey, Jaleel McLaughlin, and Tyler Badie.

Quarterback Jarrett Stidham will try to propel Denver past New England this weekend after starter Bo Nix suffered a season-ending ankle injury in the last game.

The Broncos also ruled out tight end Lucas Krull and linebacker Drew Sanders, who are both in their 21-day windows.
