Final Injury Report for Heat-Jazz: Will Norman Powell, Lauri Markkanen Play?

The Miami Heat are on the road on Saturday night as they travel to take on the Utah Jazz in an interconference matchup.

Miami enters Saturday’s game with a 23-22 record after losing on the road to the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night.

In Thursday’s loss to the Trail Blazers, Bam Adebayo led the way for the Heat as he recorded 32 points and 10 rebounds while Simone Fontecchio added 17 points, four rebounds and three assists of his own off the bench.

Now Miami will try to bounce back on the road on Saturday as they face off against a struggling Jazz team.

On the other side, Utah enters Saturday’s contest with a 15-30 record after losing at home to the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.

Ace Bailey led the way for the Jazz in Thursday’s loss as he ended the game with 25 points and six rebounds while Keyonte George recorded 23 points, four rebounds and five assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Saturday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Heat Injury Report, Will Norman Powell, Kel’el Ware Play?

For the Heat, they have six players listed on their injury report, including both Norman Powell and Kel’el Ware.

Miami has listed Powell as questionable due to lower back tightness and he is in danger of missing his first game since January 11.

If Powell is sidelined on Saturday, Dru Smith, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kasparas Jakucionis could all be in line for increased roles.

The Heat have also listed Davion Mitchell as questionable with a shoulder injury while Pelle Larsson is probable and is expected to play despite dealing with a finger injury.

Ware has been ruled out due to a right hamstring strain as he will miss his third consecutive contest.

Tyler Herro has also been ruled out as he continues to recover from a rib injury while Terry Rozier remains sidelined as he is away from the team.

On the other side, the Jazz have five players listed on their injury report, including both Lauri Markkanen and Jusuf Nurkic.

Utah has listed Markkanen as questionable due to return to competition conditioning and there is a chance he could return from a six-game absence on Saturday.

The Jazz have listed Nurkic as doubtful with an illness and he is expected to be sidelined against the Heat.

Kevin Love has been ruled out due to rest while Walker Kessler and Georges Niang both remain sidelined while recovering from injuries.
