Who is hosting ‘SNL’ tonight? Host, musical guest for Jan. 24 show

Bowen Yang’s final ‘Saturday Night Live’ exit
“SNL” cast member Bowen Yang announced he’s leaving the show in the middle of the 51st season, a crowd cheered his name after his last show.
Live from New York, it’s “Saturday Night Live!”
Multi-hyphenated talent Teyana Taylor is slated to make her “SNL” hosting debut, just weeks after winning a Golden Globe for her performance in “One Battle After Another” and two days after earning her first Academy Award nomination. She joins the likes of Glen Powell, Melissa McCarthy, Josh O’Connor, Ariana Grande and Finn Wolfhard in hosting “SNL” during season 51.
Here’s what to know about the Saturday, Jan. 24, show, including how to watch and who the musical guest is this weekend.
Who’s hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ on Jan. 24?
Teyana Taylor, an actress, singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, model, choreographer and mother, will make her “SNL” hosting debut during the second episode of 2026 on Jan. 24 (although she could easily pull double-duty someday).
Taylor, who’s been in the spotlight for 20 years now, was on her way to stardom when her MTV “My Super Sweet 16” aired in February 2007. The New York native threw an ’80s hip-hop skateboard extravaganza. Her party is remembered for her iconic entrance in a Barbie box and an appearance by Pharrell. At the time, Taylor was signed as an artist to Star Trak Entertainment, a record label Pharrell cofounded.
Taylor launched her “SNL” week with a hilarious promo that calls back to one of Angela Bassett’s most famous roles as Bernie Harris in “Waiting to Exhale.” In the 1995 film, Bassett discovered her husband was leaving her and burned all his belongings.
During her “SNL” promo, when Taylor learns that castmember Andrew Dismukes ate Ashley Padilla’s eggplant parm, she goes full Bassett on Dismukes’ dressing room.
Who is the musical guest for ‘Saturday Night Live’ on Jan. 24?
Geese, the indie rock band fronted by 23-year-old Cameron Winter, will make their “SNL” debut as the show’s musical guest this week. The band hit it big in 2025 with their album “Getting Killed.”
Although Geese has yet to perform at Studio 8H, they received a shout-out from the late-night comedy sketch show when cast member James Austin Johnson showcased his impression of Winter during the Dec. 20 sketch “Random Duet Christmas Spectacular.”
A little fun fact about the band: Geese got their name from the nickname of guitarist Emily Green, who is known as Goose, according to The New York Times.
