Snow plow truck goes up in flames in Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – No one was injured when a snow plow truck went up in flames in Toledo on Sunday amid our 13 First Alert Weather Day.

It happened in the 100 block of Westwood in Toledo by the Division of Transportation for the city.

A Toledo Fire and Rescue battalion chief told 13 Action News crews that the plow had stalled around 1:45 p.m. When the driver went to restart it, the truck burst into flames.

The driver was able to safely make it out of the vehicle and was not injured. No firefighters were injured during their response.

The plow truck was taken out of service.
